Solder Connection supplies a wide range of high temperature polyimide dots (also known as Kapton dots) suitable for masking applications in the electronics, electrical and aerospace industries. These dots are manufactured from a polyimide film and a silicone adhesive, using a split liner for ease of removal.
Polyimide dots are designed for temporary masking during soldering & other high temperature processes and is formulated to be removable leaving no residue and retains its excellent physical and electrical properties over a very wide temperature range. Polyimide film will not burn or melt and is ideal for applications requiring high dielectric strength in extreme temperature environments, polyimide pressure sensitive adhesive tapes boast resistance to extreme heat, solvents, and abrasion.
These unique attributes make them an excellent choice for any high temperature and electrical insulation applications, such as coil insulation, magnetic wire insulation, automotive/aerospace electronics, high temperature powder coating masking and the masking of printed circuit boards in the wave soldering process.
Polyimide dots are available to buy online in a range of widths. For more specialised applications or if you require a size not listed please contact our sales team to discuss your application.
