BOFA’s A1030399 Combined Filter is for use with BOFA Volume Extractor V Oracle iQ and Tip Extractor T30A.
The A1030399 filter is the second and third combined stage of filtration for the V Oracle iQ and T30A BOFA extraction units. The filter housing is manufactured from Zinc plated Mild Steel and comprises the HEPA (High-Efficiency Particle Air) filter, constructed from a maxi pleat glass fibre, and finally the Gas Filter which is comprised of a Treated Activated Carbon.
HEPA section – designed to remove particles to 0.3 µm to 99.995% efficiency.
Carbon section – final absorption of gases and vapours.
The frequency with which you need to change your filter will be determined by the specific application you are using your fume extraction systems for. As a guideline, we recommend that filters ‘in use’ are replaced every 12 months (both pre and combined or bag/HEPA) or when filter indication screen or LED lights state a blockage. Please note, this is a guide only as each filter will depend on the specific application it is being applied to. Take precautions when changing used filters for new ones. Ensure Personal Protective Equipment is worn and consult your local authority for correct disposal of contaminated filters.
The life of the BOFA A1030399 combined filter depends on how much soldering is carried out. If for example soldering is performed for 6 hours a day, then a change should be considered after 9 – 12 months. The carbon absorbs moisture so regardless of the length of time soldering the HEPA Gas filter should be changed after no longer than 12 months. The life of the combined filter will be assisted by the change of the Pre-filter.
