Puralloy® Grade G 40/60 is a leaded solder alloy incorporating lead and tin, with a melting range of between 183-234°C. This leaded alloy has similar properties to Grade C, without the incorporation of antinomy. Historically this alloy is used for a wide range of Industrial and plumbing applications, whilst being favoured within Fabrication processes due to its wide pasty range which allows for movement and re-alignment before returning to solid. Grade G Incorporate a lower tin content than other leaded industrial alloys, making it a more cost-effective option for soldering. Grade G has a duller finish, which can sometimes be an advantage when again compared to higher tin materials. For soldering to brass or copper alloys, Bakers Soldering Fluid should be considered.
