Router plates are designed to accurately locate and secure a printed circuit board while it is being depanelised from its protective salve-edge frame or machining many smaller printed circuit boards from a larger collection. Router plates can be made to fit directly onto a tooling table within the router or can be designed to locate on machine rails, hereby allowing tall components to be accommodated.
This tooling is designed directly from the Printed Circuit Board Gerber files which includes all the drill data and will be subsequently verified during pre-production setup using a blank printed circuit board.
